Indonesia
Banda island group is located within the
Central Maluku region, within Indonesia's
deepest sea, the Banda Sea. These islands
have shallo
w waters with steep drop offs
deeper than 2000m but near Manuk Island
the  water's depth reaches 6500m.

Join Bidadari and enjoy live-aboard access
to explore these vibrant blue waters with
stunning coral gardens and abundant fish
life. Discover the brightly colored sponge,
large Gorgonian sea fans, branching coral,
diverse marine life, and schools of
dolphins. Pristine seascapes and great
numbers of fish are not all of which Banda
stands to offer.

During 17th century, Banda Islands
among others within the Maluku region,
were the sole source of nutmeg and clove
production. European tall ships sailed here
to monopolize and trade the highly prized
endemic nutmeg. The Spice Trade Era
holds a fascinating history and many
remnants of the 17-18th century fortresses,
Colonial plantations and residences are
still standing and are well worth a shore
visit to Banda Niera, Banda Besar, Run,
and Ai. This picturesque paradise is
framed with the stunning backdrop of
Gunung Api volcano which rises up 666m
from the water bearing the scars from the
last eruption in 1988. Hikers find the
sunrise view from the crater top is
particularly rewarding.

The Bidadari offers an 11 night program
including the opportunity to explore Raja
Ampat in combination with Banda. Raja
Ampat is spread across 610 islands. The 4
largest islands comprise of Batanta,
Salawati, Waigeo, and Misool, and is
situated West ofBird's Head peninsula in
West Papua. Dive and snorkel these
bio-diverse marine seascapes, explore
remote and exotic islands, discover the
unique and indigenous wildlife, and  visit
traditional Papuan villages. Divers &
snorkelers, naturalist, trekkers, and bird
watchers alike enjoy the rugged beauty
found here rising from the coastline up to
the jungle canopy. From the Epaulette
"walking" shark to the magnificent Bird
of Paradise, Raja Ampat is center host to a
unique marine and wildlife wilderness.
